Can I do mobile calls from Skype for Business with Bizskype?


Yes, if you have a mobile subscription from one of the telecom operators connected to the BizSkype Cloud with a fixed/mobile integration. Then you can receive mobile calls on your PC and call from your PC displaying your mobile number.




Can I do land line calls in BizSkype?


Yes, BizSkype connects land line telephony with Skype for Business so you can dial contacts from PC or tablet using your land line subscription.




What does "Click to Call" mean?


Some web pages and business applications have implemented a "Click to call" functionality that makes it easy to click on a phone number to call with Skype for Business. For enabling functionality to call from any number you see on your screen you can download and use an app, "Select Dial", available on the BizSkype web pages. With it, you simply highlight the phone number and press Ctrl+1 to set up the call.




Can I participate in a Skype for Business meeting without having the PC client?


Yes, you can choose to use the web client by clicking on the second link in the meeting invitation.




Do I need a 3rd party communication software on my desktop device to use the BizSkype cloud for my Skype for Business users?


No, you use the standard Skype for Business Client




Is Office 365 required?


No, BizSkype is delivered with Skype for Business included, and Office365 is not required. However, certain O365-licensing allow a price deduction for Skype for Business in BizSkype.




Can I use BizSkype - Skype for Business without being an Outlook user?


Yes, BizSkype is basically independent, and can be used by businesses with any mail solution. However, Activity Logging and Presence features require an Exchange account, and will not be available for other mail solutions.




How long does it take to activate the BizSkype service?


Time to activate the service primarily depends on telco provider´s lead time for porting phone numbers to the service. Normal time for this is 2-4 weeks.




Can we have more than one telco in BizSkype?


Yes,




Can we have BizSkype in multiple locations?


Yes, and call forwarding and response groups can be defined across locations




Can we define call forwarding and response groups across locations and borders?


Yes, provided all are BizSkype users.




Can we have users with local phone numbers in multiple countries?


Yes, alternative options are available. Most common option is to establish a connection to BizSkype from customer´s telco in each country. If number of users abroad is limited, it is possible to define phone numbers with foreign country codes and include them with the local telco provider.




Can we still have desk phones in our office etc.?


Yes, desk phones certified for Skype for Business are available and can be connected.




Can we connect analog phones?


Analog phones are connected via a Skype for Business approved gateway, and the signals are transformed through a server software(Session Border Controller) in our datacenter. User licences and gateway devices must be purchased separately.




Can we connect door phones?


Depends on type of system. An analog door phone must be PBX compatible and can be connected through an analog/digital adapter/gateway. This is auxiliary equipment and must be purchased separately.




How do we manage the BizSkype service?


BizSkype includes a management portal in which most management tasks can be made. It is highly recommended that access to this portal is restricted a very limited number of authorized and skilled users. Might even be delegated to your local service provider or reseller.




Can we set up response groups?


Yes, response groups can be defined and managed in BizSkype Management Portal.




Can we add and remove users?


Yes, users can added, changed and removed in BizSkype Management Portal.




Can we define one "switchboard" number?


Yes, this is defined by us when activating the service and is done according to your request.




Can we use one land line "switchboard" number, and mobilephones only for the users?


BizSkype service opens for such setup. Availability of this feature is determined by telco provider´s land line/mobile integration offering and architecture.




Can I see who is calling?


Yes, provided this person is in your Outlook contact list.




Can I see presence for people I call?


Yes, Provided it is activated. Requires Microsoft Exchange.




Can I parcitipate in meetings from abroad without doing international calls?


Yes, local meeting numbers are available for most countries in Western Europe and the US. If you have other requirements, please contact us.




Can we use switchboard or other features in my business´ mobile subscription?


Yes, as long as they are feasible in Skype for Business.




Can I use all features available in Skype for Business?


Yes, as long as they are not restricted by your phone provider. NB! The Persistant Chat feature is not available in Bizskype due to future compatibility. The Persistant Chat role is not being developed further by Microsoft and are not available in Skype for Business Online or Skype for Business Server 2019 to be released end 2018. We suggest using Teams in Office 365 for this functionality.




Which phone number is displayed when calling with BizSkype?


The fixed number will be shown unless your telecom operator have a fixed/mobile integration with Bizskype. In that case it is possible to define what number to be shown.




Are all employees required to have BizSkype?


No, only users licensed for Skype for Business .




Are all Skype for Business users in the company required to be licenced for BizSkype?


Yes, but users with no need to do external calls can use a BizSkype licence without mobile/fixed telephony functionality. They will still have the dialin conferencing feature.




Where do I buy BizSkype?


BizSkype can be purchased from multiple resellers and service providers in Norway, Benelux and France. Any reseller and service provider in IT or telco industry can become a partner and resell BizSkype, so by asking your local partner they might be willing to help. For info about active reseller - check the "Reseller" tab. You can also contact us by phone, mail, or simply click "Contact" at the top of this screen. What is the charging structure for BizSkype?


BizSkype is subscription based and is charged per user per month, just like the phone subcription. A small activation cost is incurred - it varies with telco provider.




Is it possible to store calling data?


Integration with Skype for Business and Outlook enables logging of phone calls and to generate a mail showing basic phone call information like phone numbers, time stamp and duration.




Can BizSkype integrate with office productivity tools other than Outlook?


Integration with office productivity tools can be established through the application programming interface(API) provided in Skype for Business. Such development is normally made by the software provider or a system integrator with relevant skills.




Can BizSkype integrate with other tools?


Integration with tools for recording or other purposes can be established through the application programming interface(API) provided in Skype for Business. Such development is normally made by the software provider or a system integrator with relevant skills.




Which benefits can be derived from storing calling data?


Call logs can be used as basis for time sheets, billing, or activity data in CRM tools etc.




Which telco providers are available?


As of 2018 we have interfaces to IPNexia, Tele2, Telia, Interoute, SpeakUp, Telenor, ICE, Voiceorks and Phonero. We are continuously working with new telco providers and can also include new ones based on customer´s requirements.




What is the binding period for BizSkype subscription?


BizSkype can be terminated with one month notice. If the subscription is teminated during the first three monts after activation and this is not due to errors or shortcomings in the service, we reserve the right to charge three months subscription fee.




What is the notice period for termination of BizSkype subscription?


Normal termination notice period is one month. If the subscription is teminated during the first three monts after activation and this is not due to errors or shortcomings in the service, we reserve the right to charge three months subscription fee.




Does BizSkype have Active Directory(AD) integration?


BizSkype can be integrated with your Local AD or as an Azure AD syncronization. This is a separate product and not part of standard BizSkype activation.




Is recording of phone conversations possible?


Recording can be integrated via the Skype for Business API. Tested applications can be found here




Is "Listen In" to phone calls possible?
